I decided on Sunday that we needed to be together as a family. It was a frustrating week and I think we really needed it. Jaycee was told she had to be to two soccer practices on Sunday and Nessa was invited to a kickball tournament and then go to a different church group later in the afternoon. This has been my biggest frustration about moving to Washington is the Sunday activities. Sunday is not a day of rest here. It is go go go as usual. I can't say I'm perfect in this area either. I told both girls no, and that we would be spending the day together. Suprisingly, I didn't get any argument from them.
We had planned on spending a whole afternoon at the Park, but soon realized Aaron had a Scout meeting to go to and then the girls had a fireside that evening. Our whole afternoon turned into just two hours, but well worth it. Aaron BBQ'd some chicken and we had dinner at the park and played. Aaron also got a new fancy camera and enjoyed taking some pictures.

What a beautiful place! It just doesn't get that GREEN here in Utah. Congrats on the new camera. The pics are awesome!
That Sunday stuff to work around has been a pain in the butt my whole life...your idea sounds great. I think we should try something like that too now that the weather is getting nicer. Love the pictures! (especially the one with the big leaf)
What camera did you get? Fun times with a new camera!
I got a Nikon D80 with a couple of lenses. I am starting to figure it out so it is getting fun.
That has got to be tough with the Sunday sports stuff. Isn't family time the best??
I love all the pictures! Quite the photograhers.
We will be in Port Angeles from June 27th thru July 5th, let us know when we can meet up. We definitely want to see you again, that was a lot of fun.
I hear you on the Sunday stuff, especially on the soccer front. I agree, it's so frustrating to not have a "day of rest" Even if you don't have a lot of activities, it still seems like there are a lot of church meetings too. I just wish we could have one day a week for just family that is uninteruppted from everything. It's getting harder and harder as the kids get older too. It's hard for us families that have kids that are on premier soccer teams......I could go on and on. Love your posts.
