7 and 17 Years

Yesterday was a great day! Not only was it Preston's 7th birthday but Stacy and I celebrated 17 years together. Here are a few pics of how it looked when we started.

Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. Do we look about 15?

Bear Lake during our first year of marriage. We were attending USU in Logan at the time.

Several years later getting ready for a Packer game.

Fall of 2006

Preston opening his presents. The remote controlled Airplane was a hit!

The day was great so we decided to take the family to Geyser State Park to enjoy the sun.

April 5th Pics

Just some pics from our travels this weekend. I love to take pics and act like I know what I am doing. Maybe some day I will get a real camera and take some lessons to figure out how to do it right. The first 4 pics are from Fae Bainbridge State Park. The others are from Flaming Geyser State Park.

Black Diamond

Spent the day hanging out with the family today. Today was our first trip to the Black Diamond Bakery. We kept hearing great things about it and finally took the opportunity to check it out. Stacy's mom and sis are in town for a visit so we thought we would all enjoy something new. YUMMY! I had the meatloaf sandwich (if you have the means, I highly recommend it). We also checked out the little museum next door with the caboose. It was very relaxing and good.

Jaycee's eyes were bigger than her stomach!

Today was Christopher's first lacrosse game. It was the first game that we have ever witnessed and I have to say it is a total blast to watch. I am surprised that it doesn't have a larger following. Maybe it does and I am just sheltered. Anyway, Chris was showing some skill with the ball and the stick thing they use. During the first few minutes of the game (or is it called a match?) he had the ball and was running to the net. He got close...shot...and oh my heck he scored! Oops! First rule learned...you can not shoot a goal if you are in the little circle around the goal. Can you tell that I know nothing about the sport! Oh well! I loved watching him mixing it up with the other boys! He is such a good kid. After the game we talked about the game. I told him, "You know how mom and dad tell you to be nice to other people? Well, during lacrosse you don't need to be as nice. As long as you follow the rules and are a good sport you can put a hit on someone and knock the ball out." He said that he did not get physical because he thought it would be like being a bully. Cool kid. It will be interesting to see if he lets it loose next game.

We also spent some time at the Flaming Geyser State Park. It is right on the banks of the Green River. The website tells of all the wildlife that can be seen there; elk, bear, salmon and deer. The only wildlife we saw was this skunk! The kids were brave / stupid. I guess the fella taking the pics was not too smart either. Fortunately the skunk did not want to stick around. Here are some more pics of the day...

One got away! Run Preston Run!

Awe Hail

Two days ago we drove through one heck of a hail storm. This is a pretty grainy video of the drive. Enjoy...
