We were excited to get the call this morning telling us that Sacrament meeting was on today, in spite of the weather. So, we all got ready to head out the door. 
When we opened the garage door, there was a bit of snow that had drifted up against it. To make sure it would close, I started to shovel it away from the door. I found out that we had freezing rain during the night when I took a step out on the driveway and started to slip. I started to panic a bit wondering how this trip was going to end. Fortunately, I ended up stopping at the bottom of the drive when I hit the snow on the street. We decided that it might be best to not try to make the trip to church. :) Here is a video of my slide. We ended up having a sort of service at home by watching a church Christmas video.
Oh well...we tried!

I remember when I was little hearing about some mormons having to get in their dress clothes to watch conference. hehehe. Glad you all survived the storm
I remember having a lot of icy driveways like this in Arkie ... not a lot of snow, but the ice was a big pain at times. Nice shoveling skills...glad you didn't fall and bust your butt! (oops - I mean "seat"...remember Stacy when my mom would make us say seat instead of butt??? lol)
I tried to go early to church to practice for the program but when I got out to my car, which was not in the garage, (can you imagine a more inconvenient place for a huge skateboard ramp?) it was totally encased in ice! I was kinda mad that they didn't cancel. I HAD to go because I was half the program! Took 20 minutes of defrosting before we could even chip the ice from the windows.
Yes, it was crazy today. We had the same experience as Wendy trying to get the window cleared enough to get to the church. Glad you stayed home and didn't get stuck!
