Since moving to Washington, we have tried to explore all we can. That includes going to see the Mariners play. We thought this would be fun for Preston since he started playing baseball this year. Well....I can say that I did it. I never really have been a baseball fan. The game just moves way to slow for my taste. After sitting through hours of this game, I decided I didn't want to do another unless one of my children was actually playing. Aaron has been to 3 major league games now and I asked him if they were funner if the teams who played were actually good. He just kind of nodded no. Sorry to all baseball fans out there, I just would rather watch football. On a positive note, we did enjoy spending time together as a family. They gave out Mariner baseball cards and Preston loved to go through his pile and find the one that was up to bat. He really did enjoy it, so it made the trip worthwhile. Funnest part of the night was watching the guy sitting next to Aaron. He was as excited about the game as I was. He couldn't stay awake and kept leaning in toward Aaron. Aaron posed next to him and has a weird face because he was trying so hard not to laugh. Ahh..good times.

Hilarious! Love it. I do have to admit that I LOVE going to baseball games. I think mostly to people watch and enjoy conversations. I grew up with the Mariners though and LOVED the good ol' 1995-2001 seasons. Such fun memories! Although...I agree...I LOVE football games!
Ok--you guys made that game look sooooo exciting! I totally agree with you. I could sit for hours at a football game on any given day...especially a U of U game, but I am just bored stiff at baseball games. Our friends who are avid Yankees fans told me once that if you are bored at a baseball game then you just don't "get" real baseball. Whatever.
I used to feel the same way about baseball. I've always been a huge football fan (Go Cowboys). But since I met and married Bryan and have seen baseball through his eyes I love to go to the games. That picture of Aaron cracks me up! Oh and I have to agree with the Zappes comment about the good ol' 1995 season. That was magical!
I can't stand to watch baseball, but I love to play. Just be glad that you don't have to watch it on T.V. Wayne watches the some of the finals every year. Thank goodness he doesn't watch the whole season....I would go nuts!!! Sometimes live games are fun if the game is close. See you guys soon!!!
that guy is SO funny!! we had a great time at a Mariner's game but had to explain a LOT to the girls and honestly, the best part was probably the beautiful weather and getting treats. :)
I love M games. Not for the game so much as for the energy-charged atmosphere and the company. Go with a good conversationalist who has a sense of humor you understand, and you're sure to have a great time.
I with you....baseball is so boring, especially when you were raised on soccer which is a much faster paced game. The only way I an stand to go to a M's game is when we have Diamond Club tickets. I have to admit, I watch the people more than I do the game ! We went the other night and I was so busy talking to our friends that I didn't know who the opposing team was until the 5th inning....that's how bad I am! Your picture with Aaron and the guy sleeping is so funny!
Hey - are your parents coming out for the Utah/Michigan game over Labor Day wknd? We're going up there for it and will be sitting with the Crimson Club -- just wondering if I should look around for them!
Got your note on my blog about Scott - do you think he'll remember me? I think the last time I saw him was at a picnic at Steve's in 1997 right before Tony & I moved to Kansas!! I'll take his row info. with me and as soon as I find out from my uncle where we're sitting, I'll let you know.
